Sunday Snapshots
Last Sunday, we celebrated the last day of Life Kids in 2006. The team decided on an 'in-cursion' as opposed to our usual excursions. Let the snapshots tell the story:
Briefing time! This is just immediately after Life TV, and we're all on the 10th floor of Arrow Heights. The children would each receive coupons, redeemable for games - on successfully recalling memory verses from last week.
So the boys (in predictable fashion - including the big boys) went straight to Halo 2 in all its full gore.
And the girls tried out singing...
... and para para dancing.
All was well until Andrew and Tze Shin decided that they would have a singing match...
... and were still at it half an hour later ;p
Soon after - realizing that the kids needed a good workout, we moved them all outside. Here we see them try to beat each other in getting submerged fruit out of a bowl using only their mouths (look ma.... no hands!!). Let us watch David, one of our kids play:
'Uh oh...'
'Here goes nothing...'
'Bummer, this is harder than I thought'.
Then with faces still dripping wet, we had them look for candy hidden in flour (very very messy).
Krystal - who is a great sport, decided to have a go!
Very very smart girl too!!
Still got messed up anyhow.... ;p
Right... MESSY!!
And as a bonus - any unused coupons would be redeemable for water balloons to pelt Ivy (who is such a great sport!!). All was well until...
... the leaders realized that they were extra water balloons (so why not have a go at Ivy too!!??)
First Ivy got really really wet...
Then they realized - 'Hey!! Why isn't Josh standing there as well?'. Here is where I go: 'Uh oh...'. Since they were no more water balloons, the boys (and Ivy) decided that the bowls we used for the previous competition (to grab fruit) would have to suffice!
Bleh!
Water fight aftermath.
Then we spent time in prayer - here the team was praying for me, for the year ahead in Adelaide.
Then we celebrated Michy's, Chris Chan and Christine Chew's Birthday.
The compulsory group photo (with David absolutely having fun with his food).
